Bodenbeläge in Augsburg

What are the best floor coverings?

Eiche Zermatt Vispa

The market for floor coverings has now become enormously extensive. In addition to the classics such as parquet and tiles, there is also laminate, vinyl flooring, carpeting and many other niche products.

But which floor covering is the right one for me? It always depends on the individual case. We present the most common floor coverings with their individual advantages and disadvantages.

Which floor coverings are available on the market?

The special thing about the Parquet Exchange in terms of floor coverings is that we can offer you something from all categories. Even though we are called the Parquet Exchange, we also have ceramic tiles and carpets. You will find a huge selection of floor coverings in all price ranges on our 800 square meters and 2 floors. We pay particular attention to floors from Europe and special ecological certifications.

Welche Vorteile bietet welcher Bodenbelag?

Tiles:Ceramic tiles are particularly hard-wearing, easy to clean and waterproof. That is why they are often used in bathrooms, kitchens and hallways.

Parquet:Warm flooring that is the only one that can be repaired. Parquet is also considered to be an exceptionally elegant flooring that is also renewable and therefore very ecological.

Vinyl flooring:These floor coverings are becoming increasingly popular. They are warm, hard-wearing and can be used in all areas. Incidentally, even in the bathroom!

Carpet:Even if it is no longer as popular as it once was, carpeting still has its place. It is particularly warm underfoot, soft and reduces noise. Perhaps ideal for a child's room, bedroom or office?

Laminate:In addition to its cost advantages, laminate flooring is easy to install and has a high wood content. Did you know that laminate flooring is made of around 90% wood and is therefore a very sustainable floor covering?

Cork floor:Many people still know the cork floor from the 80s with its classic look. But cork has developed enormously and can now take on any look thanks to digital printing. It is therefore also available in a wood and tile look. Its big advantage: it is the warmest smooth floor covering that grows back every 9 years and the tree bark is then peeled off and processed again.

Design floor:This new product category is generating a lot of attention! Because, compared to vinyl flooring, it is PVC-free. For anyone looking for a vinyl floor, design flooring may be an alternative with similar properties.

Welcher Nachteile hat welcher Bodenbelag?

Tiles:They are primarily functional and a visual eye-catcher. When it comes to comfort, tiles don't score much. Tiles are cold, hard and almost impossible to repair.

Parquet:The maintenance effort is somewhat higher for parquet floors, especially if they are oiled. Although the maintenance does bring significantly more benefits, because scratches can be concealed, for example, the maintenance must be taken into account.

Vinyl flooring:The big problem with vinyl flooring is that it is made of PVC, the ingredients of which can be harmful to health. With vinyl flooring, it is extremely important to pay attention to quality and to take the relevant certifications into account.

Laminate:In the past, laminate flooring had its disadvantages when it came to moisture, particularly when it came to regular mopping. However, if you don't choose the cheapest laminate, you can now eliminate this disadvantage. Another disadvantage remains that laminate, like tiles, is cold.

Carpet:As with laminate, the same applies to carpeting - it needs to be of good quality to ensure you are satisfied. The sensitivity to stains can be a disadvantage with this type of flooring.

Cork floor:The disadvantage of cork is the smaller selection. There are 20-30 different designs available, but nowhere near as extensive as other floor coverings.

Design floor:As already mentioned, the design floor can be a good alternative to vinyl flooring, as it does not contain any PVC components. However, you have to check which alternative plastics are used. Because here too there are always the same health concerns that can be mentioned as with plastic flooring.

Welche Kosten sind mit Bodenbelägen in Augsburg verbunden?

We are now only looking at the acquisition costs - even if the costs for installation and laying must always be taken into account, these should always be calculated on site.

Tiles:Starting at 25 EUR/sqm, but depending on quality and appearance it can also go up to 100 EUR/sqm and more.

Parquet:There are many subgroups within the parquet product group, which is why you should always seek advice from specialists. Entry-level prices start at 20 EUR/m², but depending on the quality, type of wood, grading and origin, it can be significantly more expensive.

Vinyl flooring:Very cheap vinyl floors can be found on the market starting at 15 EUR/sqm. But if you want something a little more qualitative, you have to calculate between 25-60 EUR/sqm

.

Laminate:Entry-level laminate can be found on the market starting at around EUR 6/sqm. But even with laminate flooring, medium to high-quality laminate flooring can cost between EUR 15-50/sqm.

Cork floor:Depending on whether you want digitally printed cork flooring or a classic bark look, you have to calculate between 25-65 EUR/sqm.

Design floor:Similar to vinyl flooring, the same prices of approx. 25-60 EUR/sqm can be estimated here.

Wie sieht die Installation von Bodenbelägen in Augsburg aus?

When it comes to installing and laying floor coverings, it all depends on the method used. In general, a distinction is made between the floating and glued variants.

In the floating installation variant, the individual boards are connected to one another at the sides, either with a click or a tongue and groove system. This creates a large, loose board that is underlaid with impact sound insulation but not connected to the subfloor. Hence the term "floating installation".

In the glued version, the boards or elements are glued individually to a substrate, usually screed. Depending on the floor covering, very different adhesives are used and must be coordinated accordingly. It is also important to note that many substrates must be filled or leveled before installation. The reason for this is usually the high requirements of many floor coverings in terms of the unevenness of the substrate.

Therefore, always read the installation instructions before installing the floors and ask for them before you buy them. They will provide you with a lot of important information about your product.

Welche Wartung ist für Bodenbeläge erforderlich?

There is no general answer to the question of how to care for floor coverings because of the variety of materials. Parquet, vinyl, tiles, carpet - they are all completely different. You can always find out how to care for floor coverings properly in the care instructions. You should also read these before buying or ask a specialist advisor to assess whether the floor meets your expectations.
